Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) she is an English artist and singer. Ellie Goulding, a British artist and singer, gained notoriety in the year 2010 when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands out as a contemporary musician with her distinctive soprano voice, and her talent in creating songs that are catchy and emotional. Her style is similar with Kate Bush, Imogen Heap as well as other artists with similar styles. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major record deal.
